Mindful or Mind full?

Mindfulness. What does this mean to you? To me, mindfulness means taking a second (or many seconds) to be with your mind. According to some members in my weekly meditation group, mindfulness can also mean stopping to be with your breath, letting your thoughts pass in and out on imaginary clouds, or other various interpretations that I can introspectively whittle down to a single word - "one".

These days, there is an overwhelming amount of people who put their lives on display on social media. It's hard to scroll through Instagram or Facebook and not see one of your former acquaintances smirking or posing for their self facing camera. Social media networks in general are slowly becoming the quintessence of narcissism, often filling our feeds with people we barely even know anymore striving to be in the spotlight- expressing problems, successes, personal events being made public in order to draw out some sort of reaction or attention from their followers.
